This GEA 2026 conference is open to all GEA members. If you are not yet a member, please follow this link https://genderanded.org/join/ to join and register when you have received your registration number.
Registration includes access to the full programme of kauhau/presentations, including:
Monday: Māori welcome and afternoon tea (numbers are limited, opt-in), evening reception (one drink included, cash bar available)
Tuesday: Morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea
Wednesday: Morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner (one drink included, cash bar available)
Thursday: Morning tea, lunch
Registration Fees
Early Bird pricing until 31 July, 2026
Full Conference Registration: NZ$680
Full Conference Concessional Registration: NZ$380
Single Day Registration: NZ$210 (per day)
Concessional Registration
Reduced registration rates are available if you are:
- A postgraduate student
- Unwaged or precariously employed
- Refugee/resettled
- From a low- or lower-middle-income country as classified by the World Bank (see: https://datahelpdesk.worldbank.org/knowledgebase/articles/906519-world-bank-country-and-lending-groups)
Bursaries
A limited number of bursaries for the conference are available, covering conference registration, but not including travel, lodging or any other expense. Bursaries will be granted on a needs-basis. Consider applying for a bursary if you are a contingent/insecure, unaffiliated, disabled, indigenous, refugee/resettled, or another vulnerable scholar who might not otherwise be able to attend. Only eight (8) bursaries are available, please consider our Concessional Registration rates as well.

Preferred Accommodation Information
The conference will be held onsite at AUT’s City Campus, Auckland Central, mainly in the WZ Building (6 Saint Paul Street) and Ngā Wai o Horotiu Marae (Corner Saint Paul St and Wellesley Street).
